TO DETERMINE THE HAND WHEEL DIAMETER KNOWING THE OUTPUT TORQUE AND THE DESIRED RIM EFFORT CALCULATE AS FOLLOWS: DIVIDE THE OUTPUT TORQUE BY THE MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE AND MULTIPLY BY 2 THEN DIVIDE THE RESULT BY THE RIM EFFORT YOU DESIRE.
TO DETERMINE THE RIM EFFORT FOR A GIVEN OUTPUT TORQUE AND A KNOWN HAND WHEEL DIAMETER CALCULATE AS FOLLOWS: DIVIDE THE OUTPUT TORQUE BY THE MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE AND MULTIPLY THE RESULT BY 2 THE DIVIDE THE RESULT BY THE HAND WHEEL DIAMETER.
